Due to the Archive's (eerily-timed and recently announced!) downtime on October 1, the posting deadline will be pushed back by six hours so it won't interfere with anyone trying to upload their assignment at the last minute. The new posting deadline is now October 1, 6 AM MST.

Yay for extra time! Use it well everyone. I'll be defaulting anyone who hasn't completed their assignments and posting any pinch hits we have on Oct 1.

Does this mean Madness will go live at the new time as well?

The new deadline is when assignments for the main Remix collection are due, not when the collections are revealed. Both the main Remix challenge and Madness will go live at the same time, on Oct 14 at the earliest.

So when is the deadline for Madness? Sorry! the instructions looked to me like they were saying September 30.

The Madness FAQ says: You may write/draw as many things as you want as long as they are all in by the main deadline of September 30. At this time, authors/artists will be revealed and the collection will be closed to new works.

But the info post says that you can post to Madness through October?

Yes, I apologize, it's badly worded. The deadline is for regular assignments for the main Remix challenge. Authors aren't revealed until 2 weeks later, because we'll need time for post-deadline pinch hits. Neither collection will be revealed until Oct 14 at the earliest.

So there's no deadline for Madness, exactly. It's sort of a free for all version of the regular challenge. You can keep posting prompts and/or fills up until authors are revealed and the challenges end, on Oct 21 at the earliest (dates subject to change, if pinch hitters for the main challenge require more time).
