Remember, your work must pass a bus pass for it to be accepted as a legitimate entry. Anyone who doesn't get their work up by the deadline will be defaulted and their recipient will go out on the pinch hit list. I am granting extensions. In previous years extensions were not allowed, but under the circumstances (like, you know...everything in the world right now...) I'm open to it, so please reach out if you need one. What's a bus pass

Sorry, it's just a slang term for when a mod takes a quick look at your work to make sure that it's complete. You're welcome to edit as much as you like up until reveals, but by the time of the deadline the work that you've posted must look and seem finished to me (even if it's not done by your standards) in order for your assignment to count as complete.

It passes the bus test. "If I got hit by a bus right after uploading it and couldn't tweak or edit or write more, would the assignment be fulfilled?" Basically, it's a fic that might not be as polished as you like, but is complete and fulfills the requirements.

Hey, if you haven't noticed, they just announced that the archive is going down for 2 hours of maintenance between 05:00-07:00 UTC on Thursday, October 1. Which, uh, starts one hour before the upload deadline. You might want to let people know so they can plan accordingly, or move the upload deadline back a couple hours.
