Pinch Hits [#19-22] - 9/10/17

Hi, everyone. As a reminder, the assignment deadline is tonight at 11:59 PM Eastern time. (What time is that for me?) If you have not turned in your assignment by then, you will be defaulted and your assignment sent to pinch hit.

There are four new pinch hits today. I am pleased to say that all of yesterday's pinch hits have already been claimed, so the ones in this post are the last ones before the post-deadline pinch hits.

The post-deadline pinch hits will be posted shortly after midnight tonight.

Comments are screened on this post. If you see a pinch hit you would like to claim, post a comment with the username/pinch hit # of the one you want, along with your own AO3 username. You do not need a DW account to claim a pinch hit, and you may claim a pinch hit even if you did not sign up for Remix yourself.

You do not have to know the fandoms someone requested in order to claim a pinch hit. If you check out the URL in their request and see something of theirs in a different fandom that you'd like to remix, that is fair game as long as it is otherwise eligible (ie not a WIP, remix, collaboration, or safe work/series/fandom).

You may claim up to two pinch hits with the September 16 deadline at a time. (To claim a third, please finish and post one of the first two first.) Pinch hits #1-14 do not count toward this limit, as they are due with the assignments tomorrow anyway. Please only take more than one pinch hit at a time if you are fully confident you can finish both in time.

These are all due on September 16, 11:59 PM Eastern time.

Deadline, timeline stuff

Hey everyone! If you missed the reminders in the pinch hit posts, I just wanted to remind you that assignments (except pinch hits #15+) are due tonight, at 11:59 PM Eastern time! (Handy countdown timer.) At that time, the collection will close for posting for 12-24 hours so that I can sort out the post-deadline pinch hits and check for placeholders/incomplete remixes.

The post-deadline pinch hits will be posted shortly after midnight, while the collection will re-open for posting by the end of the day on Monday. Any pinch hits due to placeholders will be out by the end of the day Monday as well (though I am crossing my fingers not to have any of those).


Drafts

If you have posted a DRAFT to the collection, please make sure you have posted it properly by the deadline. If your assignment is still listed on AO3 as a draft after the deadline, I will still have to default you. (There are 6-7 drafts in the collection right now, so I thought it merited a mention.)


Remix Madness

The Madness round is still open for signups and posting! It will remain open for signups and posting until early on the 25th, but there's no reason not to go ahead and sign up. :DDDD

Hello, remixers! You have just over one hour left to turn in your assignment or pinch hit #1-14. (Handy countdown timer.)

The collection will close at 11:59 PM Eastern Time for behind the scenes mod stuff, and will not reopen for 12-24 hours. If you have not turned in your assignment by the time the collection closes, you will be defaulted and your assignment sent to pinch hit. If you are found to have posted a placeholder or obviously incomplete remix, or have only posted a draft, your remix will be rejected from the collection and your assignment sent to pinch hit. (Please note that if your posted assignment is a fic under 1000 words at the deadline, it automatically counts as incomplete regardless of its other bus test-passing properties.)

Finally, all pinch hits up to now have been claimed. The post-deadline pinch hits will be out shortly after midnight.
