So a work in progress doesn't count as a qualifying work, meaning it can't be included in the minimum number of works to make a fandom eligible to be requested.
It's also not technically allowed as a remixable work in the rules; however, if you want to include a note in your sign up saying that you're open to having a WIP remixed, you're welcome to do so. You're also welcome to include it as an option in your sign up for Madness, if you're doing that.
Basically, if you as the author are okay with it, you're allowed to make an exception in your sign up if you want. But it has to be explicitly stated in your sign up, and as a writer (or artist/creator), you're not allowed to remix a WIP unless your recipient has done so.
