remixrevival | Assignments are out!

Assignments have now been sent out! Thanks to everyone who got back to me so quickly. :)

I went through and checked every signup before matching anyone, but it is entirely possible I missed something. Please contact me at remixrevivalmod@gmail.com if you were assigned to someone who did not actually request anything you offered, has too many safe works listed in their signup, or does not have enough qualifying works in the fandom you matched on to be eligible to request that fandom.

Pinch hits will be out sometime this afternoon Eastern Time, but before that I want to make another mention of several AO3 bugs that are going around:

Posting is now open for both collections, but please make sure you preview anything you try to post as a draft, before actually posting it. You'll be looking for two different things:

1. At the top of the page, there should be a blue bar that says: This work is part of an ongoing challenge and will be revealed soon! You can find details here: Remix Revival 2018. If it isn't there when you visit your draft after creating it, your name may not reveal properly later. To fix this, delete the incorrect draft and post a new one which has it; or, if you don't notice the issue before remixers are revealed, you can remove the work from the collection and then add it back to the collection at that time.

2. Under the title of your draft work, it should say: Anonymous [YOUR NAME]. If it just has YOUR NAME without the Anonymous part, you may either delete that draft and make a new one, wait for me to fix it, or email me about fixing it.

In order to help with these issues, both collections are moderated this year. I will be checking the remixes as they come in to try to get ahead of any issues on AO3's end (I'm not sure if I can actually do anything about the first issue myself, but I can at least flip unanon works back to anon). If a gift appears on your gift page but the collection does not appear to have any works tagged with a fandom you have works in, please be aware it may still be in the moderation queue.

As a final note, I will still not be checking works for completeness/minimum wordcount/etc until the assignment deadline. So if it's your style to post a partial work and fiddle with it until the deadline, that is fine as long as it is complete by then.
